Anna Herforth developed the Diet Quality Questionnaire, which generated the first replicable global survey data resulting in an indicator of diets in the SDGs. She also developed the Cost and Affordability of a Healthy Diet indicator annually reported by FAO and the World Bank. She co-founded the Agriculture-Nutrition Community of Practice (Ag2Nut) in 2010, which established a consensus on principles for nutrition-sensitive agriculture, and remains an active group with members from 130 countries. Dr. Herforth is a Visiting Associate Professor of Global Nutrition at Wageningen University & Research, where she is developing a World Food Map of edible biodiversity.
